The aim of partnerships with Tour Operators and Travel Agencies is to better protect children from the possible negative impacts of tourism. The positive impact of the partnerships is a safer environment for children through awareness-raising of tourists and training on ChildSafe issues of tour leaders and tour guides.
Tour leaders and tour guides are trained on ChildSafe principles: what are the main problems street children face in Cambodia, how does tourism harm children in the country and what can they do to protect children during their trip. By passing this information on to their tour groups, ChildSafe certified tour leaders act as multipliers.
